Children's Health

Paediatrics is a special interest of the practice. We have dedicated a kid’s play waiting room to make your visit more enjoyable. Kids love to visit us. Our GPs and nurses all enjoy seeing children.
Dr Heike Kath, Dr Freya Ashman, Dr Kit Wong Dr Kathleen O’Brien, Dr Krystle Marca and Dr Sam Primrose have done further studies with Diplomas in Paediatrics at Westmead Children’s Hospital.
Childhood immunisations

We are supportive of childhood vaccinations. They are safe and an effective way to protect your child. Immunisation records are uploaded electronically to the immunisation register.
Chronic disease management

Diabetes, arthritis, kidney, cardiovascular disease, etc
Driver’s medicals

Commercial driving medical assessments require a double length appointment. For non-commercial licences for chronic medical conditions book a standard appointment.
Men’s health

Check-ups, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, vasectomy, mental health, STD screens.
Mental health

Depression, anxiety, postnatal depression, schizophrenia, grief, bipolar depression and PTSD.
A mental health care plan (referral to a psychologist) requires a double appointment.
Minor procedures

Implanon insertion and removal, skin cancers removal, ingrown toenail removal, vasectomy (Dr John Deery only).
Mirena IUD insertion

Dr Heike Kath. This involves a visit to discuss IUD suitability and then a separate appointment for insertion at Lyneham with Dr Kath.
Musculoskeletal

Injuries, fractures and arthritis.
Tongue Tie

Dr John Deery. Tongue tie release up to age 3 years.
Travel vaccinations

For a list of likely travel requirements please look-up http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/. If you require yellow fever vaccine please see Dr Kristin O'Neill, Dr Kit Wong, Dr Kyla Bremner or Dr John Deery. Please bring any previous immunisation records.
Skin checks

Dr Kit Wong, Dr Julie Hewitt, Dr Hayden Henry and Dr Ian Chan. Skin checks require a long appointment. Please do not wear make-up.
Vasectomy

Initial consult with Dr John Deery at either Lyneham or Denman. The procedure is performed at Crace only on Thursday and Friday mornings. The procedure fee is $750 with a Medicare rebate of $203.35. Please see canberravasectomy.com.au for more information.
Women’s health

Check-ups, pap smears, STD screens, breast check, contraceptive advice, implanon insertion and removal, IUD insertion (Dr Heike Kath, Dr Krystle Marca and Dr Kyla Bremner), menopause, pregnancy planning, shared antenatal care and postnatal check-ups.
Workers compensation

Payment is required at the time of your appointment. Standard consultation charges apply. Please let your receptionist know if you would like them to forward on the receipt of payment to your insurer.
